About Joshua Roofing
A roofing company built around one habit: telling people the truth about their roof, including when the truth costs us the job.
Why this company exists
Roofing has one of the worst consumer-complaint profiles of any trade, and the reason is not complicated. The customer cannot see the product, the purchase is large, it is usually made under pressure after a storm, and the person selling it is frequently from out of town and will not be there when it matters. Every one of those conditions is an invitation to overstate what is wrong. We built this around removing them one at a time: get on the roof, photograph it, hand the photographs over, price it line by line, put the warranty in writing, and say plainly when a roof does not need replacing.
What we actually promise
A free roof check with no hook
Someone gets on the roof, photographs it, and gives you a written summary. You keep it whether you hire us or not.
Repair first where repair is real
If your roof can be repaired, we will tell you so and price the repair, even when the replacement would have been a better month for us.
Line-item pricing
Tear-off, decking, underlayment, materials, flashing, disposal and labour, each with a price beside it. It is the only way to compare quotes, and it is why ours is longer than most.
A workmanship warranty in writing
Separate from the manufacturer's material warranty, as its own document, so there is no argument later about which one covered what.
Insured, and happy to prove it
General liability and workers' compensation, certificate on request before work starts. Texas does not issue a roofing licence, so this is the thing you can actually verify — ask everyone.
Clean-up we would accept at our own house
Tarps before tear-off, same-day haul-off, and a magnetic sweep of drive, lawn and street before we leave.
Where we stand on insurance claims
We document what the roof shows and give you the photographs and a written summary. Your insurer's adjuster decides what is covered. In Texas a roofing contractor is not permitted to act as a public adjuster on your claim, and it is against Texas law for a contractor to pay, waive, rebate or absorb your deductible. We do neither, and we will explain exactly where that line sits rather than being vague about it. If someone has offered to make your deductible disappear, that is the most useful thing you now know about them.
What we will not claim
We do not publish a project count, a founding year or a manufacturer certification tier on this site, because those belong to a company and can be checked, and we would rather you check the things we do say. What we will put in front of you is insurance, written pricing, photographs and a warranty document. Ask for all four from anyone you are considering.
Talk to someone who has been on roofs
No call centre and no script. Describe what you are seeing and you will get a straight answer about what it probably is.
